Het project verbindt de geschiedenis van kermis, als een aansprekende vorm van volkscultuur, met de rijke verhalen van cultureel erfgoed, de verbeelding van de kunsten en de verwondering van technologische innovaties. Op de Koude Kermis is niets wat het lijkt. Maak een ritje in ‘The Fair Grounds‘, een virtual reality rollercoaster-ride op zogenaamde ‘kiddy rides’ (ook voor volwassenen!), waag een gokje met de Grab the Pussy grijpmachine, kies je eigen e-nummers in het ZOET!-suikerspin-laboratorium, draai een rondje in de Carnaval des Moutons draaimolen – een ode aan de zoötroop, maar dan met Augmented Reality – of stap in de zelfrijdende botsauto’s van Bumper Ballet!
